Valerie Mueller Branam passed away unexpectedly the evening of Wednesday December 22, 2021.
Valerie was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Washington State and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She married her high school sweetheart on August 17, 1974. Together with great love and devotion they raised four wonderful children. Valerie was valedictorian of her high school class and graduated from Middlebury College; preparing her well for actively homeschooling her children.
She was a tireless volunteer in her church, which varied over the years from working with children, to helping in the kitchen, to greeting people on Sunday mornings. She spent several years working hard and reaping the joy of helping others when volunteering for The Crossing of Manitowoc (Crisis Pregnancy Center). She loved God with a fierceness that shone through to anyone who met her. She prayed passionately and often.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Timothy Branam; two daughters, Janessa (Todd Hanes) of Mishicot and Caitlyn (Adam Grunenwald) of Alabama; two sons, Christopher (Tamara) of Kewaunee and Andrew (Kayla) of Green Bay; her father, James Mueller (Laurel Westrom) of Minnesota; a brother, Dan Mueller (Bonnie) of Michigan; a sister-in-law Laurie Mueller of Wisconsin; and a sister Lisa Mueller (Laurie Hamre) of Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves 12 beautiful grandchildren (Brandon, Justin, Autumn, Logan, Cole, Ainsley, Lily, Ronan, Addelyn, Annika, Michael, and Olivia), and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Mueller, and brother Peter Mueller. She touched so many lives and had so many more people that she thought of as family that it would take up much paper to list.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Hope Community Church, 4408 County Rd. B, Manitowoc, WI. The family will be present to greet attendees starting at 10:30 a.m. Service to begin at 12:00 p.m.
