Theresa Henrickson

Theresa Henrickson, age 93, of Mishicot, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

She was born on April 3, 1928 in Des Moines, New Mexico to Manuel D. and Carmelita R. Marquez. She was raised on a ranch and had wonderful stories to tell. She married the love of her life, Russell P. Henrickson, on April 14, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The couple then moved to Wisconsin and raised 9 children. Over the years, she also worked at Paragon Electric and Hamilton Industries. Mom was a very loving and giving person and was always there for her family and anyone in need.

Theresa is survived by 7 children: Karen DeFaut (Mark Thompson), Carmen Henrickson, Larry (Tammy) Henrickson, Gail (Shawn) Pearson, Linda Brandl, Roselle (Dan) DeFaut, Russell J. Henrickson; daughter-in-law, Elsa Henrickson; 20 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by 6 sisters: Alice Luna, Elsie Raybal, Lillie Grogan, Mary Valdez, Carmen Romero, and Mary Ann Muniz; along with many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Carmelita Marquez; her husband, Russell P. Henrickson; son, Terry Henrickson; daughter, Judy Henrickson; granddaughter, April Henrickson; and a great-grandson, Christopher M. Klein. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Nick Marquez, Sixto Marquez, and Margarito Marquez; and four sisters: Aurora Martinez, Gertrude Vigil, Felipa Valdez, and Stella Romero.

A gathering for immediate family will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S State St, Mishicot, with burial to follow in the Mishicot Public Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
