Sylvester S. Shillcox

Sylvester Stephen “Cy” Shillcox passed away on February 22nd, 2025, at the age of 87, He was surrounded by immediate family.

He is survived by one daughter, Vicki Hassemer (Randal Stradal), and grandchildren, Brady (Amanda) Hassemer and Aubry Hassemer (Cody). He is also survived by brothers, Donald Shillcox, and Stanley Shillcox, sister, Patricia (Bob) Radue, sister-in-law, Joanne Shillcox and close friend, Jessica Lambert. He is preceded in death by both parents, brothers, Floyd Shillcox, Gerald "Jerry" Shillcox, and sisters-in-law Barbara Shillcox and Susie Shillcox.

Born on May 22nd, 1937, in Seymour, WI, Sylvester was the son of Dorothy and John Shillcox. He attended Mishicot area schools and enlisted and served in the armed forces in Washington for two years and another two years in the National Guard at Ft. McCoy. Cy worked at Hamiltons in Two Rivers, WI for over 30 years.

Cy was a well known citizen of Mishicot where he enjoyed many hobbies including daily walks, woodworking, golfing, bean bags, horseshoes, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Cy was a gentle, kind, and generous man, father, grandfather, and friend.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 on March 5, 2025, at Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State St., Mishicot, WI 54228 with a funeral service at 11:00 am with Fr.
