Robert L. "Bob" Klein

Robert Louis Klein, age 86, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on  Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born February 28, 1938 in Ashland, WI to Roy H. and Marie G. (Strom) Klein. He married Charlotte Leah Anderson on December 19, 1964 in San Francisco, CA. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2020.

Bob proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Enterprise as a Nuclear Reactor Plant Operator and Electronics Technician First Class. After leaving the Navy he continued his work in nuclear energy at Wisconsin Electric-Point Beach Nuclear Plant. Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife and camping and fishing with his sons.

Survivors include his loving sons Nicholas P. Klein and Robert N. Klein, both of Manitowoc; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to his loving wife Charlotte, Bob was also preceded in death by their eldest son, Theodore S. Klein, and his brothers and sisters.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, 1500 Hwy. 310, Manitowoc, Monday, June 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. led by Retired Chaplain Molly LaFond. Military graveside honors will follow the service.

Refreshments will be served after the service at Nick Klein’s residence, 2011 Kellner Street, Manitowoc.
