Mark K. Nicol

Mark K. Nicol, 70, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at home surrounded by family. He was born on September 24, 1954, in Portland, OR, to the late Lewis and Ruby (Negri) Nicol. He married Laurie Karbowski on May 8, 2009. After some college, he worked most of his life in the construction industry.

Mark is survived by his wife, Laurie; children, Jeff (Jenny Smith) Nicol; Jamie Nicol; stepchildren, Erick Klosterman, and Sarah Klosterman; grandchildren, Jeff Jr., Cedar & Chloe; step-grandchildren, Damon & Declan, Kyran & Scarlette; brothers-in-law, Tony Karbowski, and Chris (Sarah) Karbowski; sisters-in-law, Joan (Walt) Francis, Nancy (Jay) Orvis, and Jenny Karbowski; as well as by many friends and relatives, especially Lisa & Ray Mikeal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby T Veitch-Reed, Lewis Allan Nicol; grandparents; brother, Bob Nicol; and mother- and father-in-law, Dorothy and Ray Karbowski.
