Lloyd Pantzlaff, age 81 of Maribel, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Lloyd was born in Maribel on May 16, 1941 to Hugo and Elvera (Wolter) Pantzlaff and graduated from Denmark High School with the class of 1959. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from 1960-1963, with the majority of time spent in Germany. On February 23, 1963, he was united in marriage to Sandra A. Hansen at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Denmark.
Lloyd was a man who could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He worked as a master electrician for many years, but would dream up ways to build anything from scratch with salvaged parts and ingenuity. He was known for his love of bear hunting with hounds and deer hunting; and enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He farmed the family homestead for many years, but being an avid outdoorsman he was proud that he and his family planted over 200,000 trees, returning part of the land to a lush forest as his forefathers had in 1865.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandy; his son & daughter-in-law, Andy (Kathy) Pantzlaff ; two daughters & a son-in-law: Candy (Sean) Freiberg, and Elizabeth Pantzlaff; four grandchildren: Hunter, Georgia, Cooper and Abbey; one brother & two sisters-in-law: Melroy (Arlene) Pantzlaff, and Kathy Pantzlaff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Elvera Pantzlaff; one sister, Arlene Mease; and his brothers: Ronnie, Bobby and Ralph.
A private family memorial service officiated by Rev. Austen Welter will be held at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Mishicot.
