John Michael Murphy, age 77, of Mishicot, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2025. Born on January 24, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of Francis and Helen (Banovich) Murphy.
After graduating from high school in Milwaukee, John served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, spending two years in Thailand. Following his military service, he moved to Cascade and then to Plymouth, where he worked for 33 years at Borden's Cheese.
On April 14, 2000, John married his beloved wife, Lora. Together, they shared many years of happiness. After retiring in 2010, John enjoyed a well-earned respite, spending his time fishing, boating, and golfing with Lora, his children, and his grandchildren.
John's family was the center of his world. He leaves behind his wife, Lora; his children, Dan (Abbey) Beckman of New Holstein, WI, Stephanie Beckman of Plymouth, Wi, and Alex Murphy of New Richmond, Wl; and his three cherished grandchildren, Kai, Hadley, and Harley Beckman. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, John's love for his family knew no bounds. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no formal service or visitation.
John's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support they have received during this time.
