Hannah Marie Aplin

In the early hours of Tuesday November 15th, Hannah Marie Aplin lost her long battle to addiction at the age of 29.

Hannah was born to Stacy Carlson and Evan Aplin on November 9th, 1993 at Theda Clark in Neenah, Wisconsin. She spent the majority of her life in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where she later graduated from Fond du Lac High School, and began her adult life. On December 29th, 2013 Hannah gave birth to her first and only child, Silas. Silas brought an immeasurable amount of love, joy, and purpose to Hannah’s life.

In her free time Hannah enjoyed the moments where she could spend time with her family and friends. At her core she was deeply loyal to those she cared for and did her best to ensure that they were loved and looked after. In her presence there was never a shortage of smiles or laughter. Hannah enjoyed traveling and had a deep appreciation for music, nature, and the feeling of freedom.

In her passing, Hannah was preceded by her sister, Hailey Aplin; her maternal grandfather, Thomas Hooper; and her paternal grandfather, Jerome Aplin.

Hannah is survived by her son, Silas Barrera; her mother, Stacy Carlson (Jon); her father, Evan Aplin; her sister, Nichole Carlson (Mike); her brothers: Jayce Welsch, Devin Aplin, Ian Aplin, Mason Aplin, Jimmy Sousek; her maternal grandparents, Jean and Steve Wacek; and her paternal grandmother, Nancy Aplin.

As a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend Hannah will always truly be missed.
