Francis "Frank" Hood

F rancis "Frank" Hood, age 64, a Manitowoc resident, died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Frank was born August 25, 1958 in Massachusetts to John and Catherine Piccirilli Hood.  He received an Associate Degree in English.  Frank married the former Linda LaCasse July 14, 1978 in Massachusetts.  He served his country for 23 years with the United States Air Force and later worked as regional service manager for Manitowoc Ice Company, then worked as a technician for Trane Heating and Cooling.  Frank enjoyed flying and attending the EAA in Oshkosh for many years; and was a member of the AOPA Flying Club.  He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren, and with his dog “Knuckles”.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; 4 daughters: Misty (Gary) Stock, Delila Hood, Samantha Hood, all of Manitowoc, and Nicole Lavin, of Arizona; 11 grandchildren: Alyssa, Christian, Alexis, Kaylee, Jackson, Kiara, Tenzin, Catherine, Claire, Ashton, and Jaden.  Frank is further survived by one brother, Larry (Cathy) Hood, of MA; two sisters: Mary Lake, of Florida, Machelle Geary, of MA; and by his extended family Aaron Conard, and Cody Olson; along with nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Hood.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street, Mishicot, followed by military honors accorded by Kempen-Staudinger-Terrens VFW Post #7753 of Mishicot at 10:30 a.m.
