Barbara A. Wright

Barbara A. Wright/Mackey, age 70 of Manitowoc, died Friday, May 12, 2023 at her residence.

Barbara was born in New Berlin, WI on July 18, 1952 to Wiley and Helen (Hardin) Thompson, and attended school in New Berlin. On June 4, 1976, she married Dwight "Butch" Wright in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2013.

Barbara worked for many years at Mirro/Foley Company, until it's closing. She also worked as a waitress at the Country Kitchen restaurant and as a cashier at a local Express Mart. Barb enjoyed being in the outdoors; gardening, fishing, or taking rides in the convertible. She also enjoyed crocheting, and loved to collect.

She is survived by her significant other, Daryl Mackey; her five children: Gary Wright, Wendy (Walter) Staff, Ronald Wright (special friend, Mandy), Jason Wright, and Randy (Karen) Wright; along with many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister & brother-in-law, Diane (Tom) Anderson; one brother & sister-in-law, Daryle (Cheryl) Thompson; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Helen Thompson; one son, David Wright; and one brother, Butch Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held for Barbara at a later date.
